Currently under construction in Downtown New York is the new W Hotel & Residences at 123 Washington Street. The 57-story tower has been designed by Gwathmey Siegel Architects, with GRAFT providing the interior design. When completed, the building will have 217 hotel rooms, as well as 222 residences.

On the fourth floor of the apartment the living areas are located – living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the fifth floor – top floor of the building – an extra ling area was created with a kitchenette and a wc. This floor opens out to a small pool glazed on one side. The material used were a constant but yet subtle contrast between natural – antiqued wood, lava stove – and color full modern materials such as corian, tinted glass, lacquer. All the spaces are distinguished by their own hue. Orange for the main kitchen, yellow for the kitchenette, green for the main bathroom etc.

The latest branch of The House Café chain at the shopping mall Kanyon, is an integration of the mall’s original architecture, The House Café brand identity and the Atutoban design approach. A site-built structure made of steel and glass, which functions as a transparent box to house the café, is carefully planned and designed to fit the valley-like architecture of the mall and sat on a walnut platform to add warmth to the café’s interior. Although an extension, the structure bears its own strong design identity while blending in with its surroundings.

The apartment had been untouched, and we removed all non-bearing walls, moved plumbing and completely transformed the space. The materials include custom designed built-in illuminated ultra-suede sofa, white marble flooring, radiant heat, Venetian plaster and sparkling Laurentian Green Granite slabs. The project was realized in collaboration with Interior Designer Gary Hutton and his associates.
